When the beauty that is Bel Ami visits the glory that is Greece, the mating of these natural wonders is nothing short of spectacular. For me Greek Holiday I is one grand homoerotic odyssey. I have not seen a more compelling idyllic and stunning presentation of gay fantasy. Your libido will be given little rest as the film moves from scene to scene in one continuous seductive enchantment. The setting is perfect: a series of islands rising as juggernauts like Spartan sentinels overseeing the waterways, surrounded by a sea of deep turquoise and silhouetted against azure blue skies. Watch the naked boys swing off the boat and then gyrate into the water, their golden sleek bodies shimmering in the Aegean sunlight. Or see the octet of them swimming to a nearby beach to bounce a ball around as they run and jump around, their playthings flopping around in flirtatious abandon.

When the Hellenic gods decided to give us contemporary versions of the ancient boydeities, they gave us the Bel Ami lads. Here is Jason with his classic good looks, a broad brow set over deepset blue eyes, and a jaw framed at a perfectly handsomely male angle; his smile is an inspiration of Zeus himself. I’ve cruised the Aegean waters a couple of times in the past when visiting Athens and Alexandroupolis, but, unfortunately, in a vessel that was a tad more utilitarian than a yacht. Once ashore we come across Scott Hannah and the beautifully sweet Jason Paradis in a hotel room taking their revealing swim briefs off and quietly going about exploring each others’ bodies. ... Scott does have a beautiful, suntanned tushie but it was his gentle caressing and licking of Jason’s rosebud that made me coo with excitement, especially when Jason flexes it in response to Scott’s persistent wet licks. Episode five with Jason and Alan was interesting if for no other reason than Mr. Connery has finally made his debut as a top, the first ever in front of the camera. The white, Greek statue on the window shelf of two men wrestling reminded me of the scene from “Just For Fun” when Sebastian Bonnet held Jeff Daniels upside down during their tryst. It’s my considered opinion it’s the eighth wonder of the world and should be encased in Plaster of Paris for future generations to admire. This video has left me desperately salivating for Part 2 so as to continue with this absolutely wonderful and incredibly filmed adventure. This is pure Bel Ami at its best in all respects with a terrific storyline and great setups for each episode. In fact, there are DVD Extras included for those, like me, who like viewing naked guys having fun in the sun and water by taking out segments from the main film so that they can be viewed without the sex, like the “Beach Volleyball” and “Diving” scenes which are little masterpieces in themselves. The music, from the opening to the end credits, is excellent even though three episodes are without musical scores, but, the yacht’s engines give them a realistic and soothing ambiance nonetheless. I’ve had many a night’s sound sleep to the comforting drone of a ship’s engine...

You can read all the comments and reviews on this Forum and look at all the screenshots posted on this website concerning “Greek Holiday,” but, they will not even come close to scratching the surface of what you’ll experience in viewing this video for yourself. I don’t care if you’re a lifelong Bel Ami fan or someone who is totally new to George Duroy’s work, you’ll have a fantastic time watching this masterpiece of gay erotica that only Bel Ami can and does produce.
